Mrs. Willie Ruth Griffin, age 87, passed from this life on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her residence in Lima, Ohio surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 21, 1934 in Russellville, Alabama to the union of James and Ardell (Moss) Lloyd; both parents preceded her in death. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. John Griffin, Sr.; who preceded her in death on March 21, 1996.

Mrs. Griffin retired as a Cook in Colbert County in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She loved all music and especially the Blues.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories 4 sons; James L. Smith, Jr. (Mattie) of Tuscumbia, AL. John Griffin, Jr. of Lima. Alex Griffin (Elizabeth) of Arkansas, Michael Griffin of Dayton. 6 daughters; Lois Hampton (James) of Seattle, WA. Mary Simpson-Irons (Neal) and Stephanie Griffin both of Lima. Lisa Brenneman (Jerry) of Spencerville, OH. LaDonna King (Rush) of Gulfport, Miss and Ullanda Haley of Tuscumbia, AL. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Mercy Health Hospice Staff and all who cared for her.

She was preceded in death by a sister; Leatha Johnson.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Shoals Memorial Gardens in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
