Mr. Michael “Fingers” Thurmond, age 67, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at approximately 7:44 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born on August 12, 1954 in Lima, Ohio to Sandy and Ada Lee (Smith) Thurmond; both parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Thurmond worked in production at Ford Motor Company. He was a member of U.A.W. Local # 1274.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sisters: Edith Carlisle of Indianapolis, Indiana and Tina Thurmond of Gary, Indiana. 6 brothers: Stephen (Elaine) Thurmond of Lima, Ohio; Sandy Thurmond, III of Texas; Shaun Thurmond of Lima, Ohio; Charles D. Thurmond of Lima, Ohio; Joseph Thurmond of Lima, Ohio; and Jeffrey (Ewandine) Thurmond of Florida. A close friend, Denise Harris of Lima, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held with Rev. Jeffrey Thurmond, officiating.
