Michael Wayne Lewis

Mr. Michael Wayne Lewis, age 54, passed from this life on Monday, May 8, 2023. He was born on January 11, 1981 in Lima, Ohio to Melvin W. Lewis and Marcia Jones. Both parents preceded him in death.   

Michael was a graduate of Lima Senior High School where he wrestled for many years. He also played for the Lima Warriors Football Team and was an avid Ohio State University Football fan. Scarlet and gray ran through his veins. Michael was a hard worker. He served his country in the United Sates Army and worked as a Broil Cook Chef at Texas Road House. Michael was not only a hard worker; he was a beloved father. His kids were his pride and joy and he loved them fiercely. Michael was an inspiration to everyone he met. His happy spirit and impact will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Michael leaves to cherish his precious memory 3 children whom he loved very much: Alexis Werling of Lima, OH, Sabra Lewis of Arkansas and MyKing Lewis of Lima, OH; 3 brothers: Marcus (Christie) Shine, Kendall Shine and Tony (Betty) Wright all of Lima, OH; a sister, Kimmy (Devon) Chambers of Dayton, OH along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
