Mario L Mathis Jr.

Mario Ladell Mathis Jr. was born on November 20,1993 in Elyria, Ohio and passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2023 in Lima, Ohio.

Mario grew up in Lima, Ohio and was a 2012 Lima Senior High School graduate, where He scored in the highest percentile on the OGT's the very first time. He worked at Eagle Railcar Services as a supervisor. Mario was a natural comedian and entertainer. He always enjoyed making people laugh and loved being the center of attention. He was a great athlete and loved playing sports especially basketball. Mario could always be found "HOOPING" with some of his closest friends. He was an amazing son, brother, friend but most of all, an amazing father. His children were the Light of his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Kutinna (Aaron) Sanks and Father, Mario Mathis Sr; 8 sons, Mario III, Messiah, Marion, Bray'cen, Montana, Isaiah, Miy'Air, and lastly Rio. He also has one princess, Miya; 7 sisters, Destani, Ashley, Alycia, Mariah, Alanna, Britney, and Dianne; 7 brothers, Ladale, Ayrian, Aaron, Markey, Tony, Kevin, and Chesean; Maternal grandparents, Peggy Jones, Beverly Sanks, and Earl Jones; Paternal grandmother, Patricia Newton; and a Host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ricky Mathis Sr. and a niece, Calee Shurelds.

The Family of Mario Ladell Mathis Jr acknowledges with sincere appreciation of the many comforting messages, tributes, prayers and other expressions of kindness and love shown at this time of great loss! Services for Mario will be announced at a later date.
