Delores Costello Yates

Mrs. Delores Costello Yates, age 87, passed from this life on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at approximately 11:38 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was born on June 22, 1933  in Harrisonburg, Louisiana to Charlie and Lillie (Courtney) Cotton, Sr.  Both parents preceded her in death. 

In 1967 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Nathaniel Yates who survives in Lima.

Besides her loving husband she leaves to cherish her precious memory 4 sons; Bill Dunbar (Kathy) and Jessie Dunbar, Jr. both of Lima. Larry Dunbar of Tacoma, WA and Mark Dunbar of Lawrenceville, GA.  2 daughters; Anna Dunbar of Lima and Lillie Greer of Long beach, CA. 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 28 great-great grandchildren  A sister-in-law; Essia Cotton of Lima and a special niece; Hilda Roach of Lima.  A host of other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by a son; Alundrus Dunbar, 2 daughters; Marsha Dunbar and Beverly Yates.   A sister; Emma Bean and a brother; Charles Cotton, II.               

Private home going services for  immediate family only will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Kevin Berry, officiating.

Interment:  Memorial Park Cemetery
