Clarence McGriff

Elder Clarence McGriff, age 67, passed from this life on Monday, May 9, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m. at Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was born on November 22, 1954 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Clarence Henry Eugene McGriff and Oler (Williams) McGriff; both parents preceded him in death.

In August 6, 1983 he was united in holy matrimony to Judy Elaine Sullivan, who survives in Lima.

Elder McGriff was employed at Ford Motor Company. He was the former pastor of Mt. Olivet C.O.G.I.C. in Lima OH.  He was a member of New Life C.O.G.I.C.            in Toledo, Ohio.

Besides his loving wife Judy he leaves to cherish his precious memory 3 daughters; Adina E. McGriff of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Deanna L. McGriff of Columbus, Ohio; and Shawna R. (Kevin) Jones of Lima, Ohio.    3 Grandchildren:  Delon, Braelyn and Grayson.  3 brothers; Larry (Cynthia) McGriff of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Stanley (Roxie) McGriff of Chicago, Illinois; and Danny McGriff of Lima, Ohio.  5 sisters; Dorothy (Arthur) Knuckles of Lima, Ohio; Veronica (Marcus)  Ellis of Columbus, Ohio; Terrie Edwards of Lima, Ohio; Mae Cowan of Lima, Ohio; and Elnora  Napier of Columbus, Ohio.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 5 sisters; Daisy Boyd, Eddies M. Austin, Ira Jenkins, Tillie N. Chitman, and Juanita Scott.

Home going services will be held on Friday, May, 13 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet C.O.G.I.C.  Bishop Edward T. Cook will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
