Mr. Clarence E. Gant, Jr., age 76, passed from this life on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH. Clarence was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Clarence E. and Catherine (Martin) Gant, Sr..
Clarence was a hard worker who retired in maintenance and as a truck driver for the Mayflower Moving Company.
He was a quiet, private man who “LOVED” his Miller Lite, his cigarettes and Pittsburgh Steelers. He liked to create city scapes and sculptures made out of styrofoam.
He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons, Clarence E Gant, III and Charles Gant, both of Pittsburgh, PA and Lamont Gant of Atlanta, GA; 1 sister, Velma (Peter) Walker of Dallas, TX.; special nieces, Catherine (Stormy)Tucker-Munday, Dana Adkins, Gina Gant, Ashley Adkins all of Lima; and a special nephew, Darnell Mahone of Clermont, FL. and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Cook, and 2 brothers: Norman Gant and James Gant.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
