Charles "Rease" Morelock

Mr. Charles “Rease” Morelock, age 84, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at approximately 7:45 p.m.at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, OH surrounded by his family.  Charles was born on December 2, 1938 to Charles Rease and Minnie Evelyn Morelock.  Both parents preceded him in death.  On December 2, 1978 he married Carol Morelock. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2019.

“Rease” was a self-employed electrician.  He was a member of the VFW 1275 and the American Legion #96.  He served in the Army as a paratrooper.  He was a member of the Shriner and enjoyed playing the harmonica and piano. “Rease” was an avid fan of horror and western movies.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory 9 children:  Charlene Rettig of Findlay, OH; Nancy Risner of Attica, OH; Belinda Perelka of Attica, OH; Rease Morelock of Cincinnati, OH; Collette (Frank) Aultman of Lakeview, OH; Veronica Lambert of Lima, OH; Renee Henry of Columbus, OH; Krystal Morelock of St. Marys, OH; and Gretta (Paul) Houck of Tiffin, OH.  31 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  1 brother: Charles Fribourg. 

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Shepherd; a great grandson, Joseph Hardesty; and 2 siblings: Naomi and Herb.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery.
