Mr. Willie Joe Lewis Dilworth, age 85, dedicated husband, loving father and friend of many – transitioned from this life on Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was born in Iuka, Mississippi on April 26, 1937 to Robert J. Dilworth and Ella Mae (Commons) Dilworth. Both parents preceded him in death.

On July 24, 1976 he married the love of his life Lavonne K. (Scales) Dilworth. His wife survives in Lima, OH

Willie was a faithful member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church for many years serving as a valuable part of the Brotherhood. Willie worked as a professional Relief Man at General Motors for 37 years and was a member of the U.A.W Local 211. He was not only a hard worker; Willie was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. When he wasn't serving the Lord, his family and his career, he loved to work on cars. Willie touched the lives of so many people. He will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

Besides a loving and faithful wife, Willie leaves to cherish his precious memories: 2 sons, Willie J Owens and Dwayne Kirkman both of Lima, OH; 3 daughters: Melinda R. Bagley of Lima, OH, Tracey M. Timmons of South Carolina and Tina M. (Arron) Clemons of Lima, OH; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Chambers; a brother, Robert J Dilworth; and a sister, Ella B. Plair.

Services will be Officiated by Rev. Ernest Stephens.
