Mr. William DeAngelo “Cool” Harmon, age 44, passed from this life on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at approximately 8:03 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. 

Cool as he was called was born on September 22, 1981 in Lima, Ohio to Joe L. Harmon, Jr. and Georgianne Shorter. His mother preceded him in death and his father and stepmother Retta Harmon survive in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Cool worked for Whirlpool Manufacturing. He loved to ride motorcycles, watch wrestling and cop shows. He was a wielder and a handyman. He loved listening to old school music and loved his family.

Besides his father Joe Harmon, Jr. (Retta) he leaves to cherish his precious memory a son; De`Quan Harmon of Lima, Ohio . 2 bonus daughters; Nykeia A. Dillingham and TayShajza Turner both of Lima, Ohio. 1 grandchild. His grandmother; Opal Harmon of Lima, Ohio. A brother; Jay Harmon (Adenike) of Indianapolis, Indiana. 2 sisters; Rochelle D. Shorter and Ashley N. Shorter both of Lima, Ohio. 2 uncles; Adrian Harmon and Danny Harmon both of Lima, Ohio. 3 aunts; Diane Shorter and Florence Cowan both of Lima, Ohio. Jackie Harris of Indianapolis, Indiana. 2 special cousins; Vermetha Shorter of Lima, Ohio and Danielle Shorter of Houston, Texas. A special friend like a brother; Torrey Knight of Lima, Ohio. A special nephew; JaQuan Allen of Lima, Ohio. 2 nieces, 2 nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents; James and Minnie Shorter. His paternal grandfather; Joe Harmon, Sr. 3 aunts; Annette Shorter, Kim Gomilla and Patricia Shorter. 3 uncles; Donald (Hayes) Cowan, Dana Harmon and Donald Wayne Harmon.

Home Going Services will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Arnold Manley, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the funeral home.

Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
