Obituary

Mrs. Weldeana Ann (Breaston) McNeal, age 74,  went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at The Ohio State University Wexler Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Weldeana was born on Friday, February 9, 1951 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the first daughter of her parents Weldon Richey Breaston and Elizabeth Ann (Seward) Breaston; she was her father's name sake.  Both her parents preceded her in death.

On June 28, 1980 she was united in holy matrimony to Billy Gene McNeal, the love of her life.  Billy preceded her in death on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.

Deana as she was lovingly called graduated from Bellefontaine Senior High school.  She worked at Grimes Manufacturing Company in Urbana Ohio until she moved to Lima and stayed for a short time with her sister and brother in law.  Deana was hired Excello/Textron Corporation where she continued working until retirement.

Deana was a faithful member of Greater Christ Temple Church.  She loved assisting in the kitchen and fellowship hall.  She was faithful to her duties and was always one of the last to leave.  She stayed until the final job was done, she never complained and did whatever she was asked to do with a smile.  Deana and Billy were licensed foster parents for over 16 years for Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth, opening their home and sharing their love for many children over the years.  She loved children, her patience and love for them was beyond measure.  She volunteered at the Cheryl Allen/Mizpha Community Center and the Christian Corner Community Center.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory; 10 sons; Haze Massey (Courtney), Antonio  McNeal, Donta McNeal, Shawn McNeal (Whitney), Clarence McNeal (Jessica), Divon McNeal, Vontre McNeal, Zacarieus McNeal, Gabriel Egbujor and Damien Wilkinson. 2 daughters; Drenessa Watkins and Brooklyn McNeal. 28 grandchildren.  A sister; Quan Cory (Ted) of Lima, Ohio and a brother; K.C. Breaston (Gayle) of Cincinnati, Ohio.  A sister-in-law:  Grace Breaston of Lima, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Hersey David Breaston.

Deana was a kind gentle spirit, so very loving, but don't take that for granted.  She did not say a lot of words but she would put you in your place by the rolling her beautiful eyes and the turning of her head.  You knew to leave her alone. Deana had a heart of Gold.  She would do anything within her power to help, she will be truly missed.
