Mrs. Velma Donna Thomas, age 100, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2014 at approximately 2:50 p.m. at Otterbein St. Mary's in St. Mary's Ohio.

She was born on November 3, 1913 in Lima, Ohio to the union of William and Delia Bond Harper, both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Ralph Thomas in 1932, he preceded her in death in 1976.

Mrs. Thomas was a Homemaker; she will truly be missed by her family.

She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Nonpareil Club, Aeolians Club, a Board member of Bradfield Community Center and a Board member of the YWCA.  She always volunteered for civic events and community services.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory two daughters; Evelyn T. Chavers of Las Vegas, Nevada and Lucia A. Neal of Columbus, Ohio.  Three grandchildren; Grace Edgerly (Rev. Adam), John Neal and David Neal (Kayla).  Two great grandchildren; Harper Edgerly and Grayson Neal.   A sister:  Mildred Rickman of St. Mary's, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; Harold Harper and William Harper.
