March 13 ^th , 2014 in Houston Texas, Vaistella "Vas" Marie Simpson Crumpton left this world and took her journey home to be with the Lord.  She was born July 11 ^th , 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama to Lorene Simpson and Willie "Shade" C.  Knight.  She later married Jefferey Crumpton.  Vaistella was a devout follower and Missionary for the Lord as a member of the New Light Christian Center in Houston Texas under the leadership of Bishop I.V. Hillard.  She has touched many across this world and will truly be missed by all.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory three daughters; Yvonne Knight (Cody Fisher) of Lima, Ohio; Gwennetta "Gwen" Simpson of Charleston, South Carolina and Jawanda "Wookie" Simpson of Lima, Ohio. One son; Jefferey "Boo Boo" (Larissa) Simpson.  Five brothers; Timothy (Monica) Simpson, Willie F. Knight, Broadrick  Knight, Humphrey  Knight, and Rodney (Phyllis) Knight all of  Lima, Ohio.  Two sisters; Drucilla Anderson of Toledo, Ohio and Paula Knight of Lima, Ohio.  Ten grandchildren, Nakoyia  Dotson, Timothy McLester, Raven (Justin) Monroe, Qutura Simpson, Maleeshia Liggins, Shakara  Maroney, Da'Micko  Maroney, Arriyon Simpson, Champree'  Simpson, and NaJayee' Simpson.  Three great-grandchildren, Kimonte Dotson, Mi'Angel Monroe, and Zion McLester.  An  Aunt; Hattie (Bob) Jones.  Special Sisters; Joella Marks, Jeannie Gordon, and Vanessa Adams and  step-daughters; Shuna Dyous and Charlotte Tucker.  A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and loved ones worldwide.

She was preceded in death by both parents,  maternal grandparents Sam and Dorothy Simpson, paternal grandparents Henry and Della Knight, grandson Kiante Johnson, and nephew Turranol "T.K." Knight.
