Obituary of Tory Monyell Alberty

Mr. Tory Monyell Alberty, age 44, a precious son, loving brother and friend of many – transitioned from this life on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Liberty of Lima.

Mr. Tory was born March 2, 1979 in Lima, Ohio to Corlisa A. Alberty-Tyson and Gary Tisdale. Both survive in Lima, OH.

Tory accepted Jesus in his life at an early age.  He was a member of R.A.I.S.E. encounters.

Tory had a beautiful voice.  He had the privilege to perform at the Apollo in Texas along with his cousin, Dyesha Alberty.  They won 1st Place.  He also performed at the Lima Civic Center.  Mr. Tory was also an amateur boxer.  He enjoyed drawing and making jewelry.  He also loved entertaining and cooking for his family.  Tory loved making people laugh. He was a bundle of joy to everyone he met.  Tory you will be remembered and forever cherished.

Besides his loving parents, Tory leaves to cherish his precious memories, 1 son, Anthony Payne of Lima, OH; 5 sisters: Sarina Tisdale of Dayton, OH; Katrina Tisdale of Atlanta, GA; DeAnna Robinson of Dublin, OH; and Kaleisha Tyson of Columbus, OH; and Klemme Tyson of Lima, OH. 5 brothers: Tavares Tyson, Sherman Tyson and Dameon Sharkey of Lima, OH; Herman Tyson, Jr. of Delphos, OH; and Quincy Hodges of Columbus, GA.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.

Tory is preceded in death by his stepfather, Herman Tyson; a brother, Gary Lamar Tisdale; a special cousin, Tamika Q. Alberty.  Maternal grandparents, Mamie Stapleton and John E. Alberty and paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Amy Tisdale.

Home Going Services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Jones-Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sherri Pace Officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on August 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service also at the funeral home.
