Mr. Thomas Ross Johnson, age 61, passed from this life Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at approximately 11:55 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

He was born on October 18, 1960 in Florence, Alabama to the union of Cecil and Maxine (Vann) Johnson; both parents are also deceased.

Ross graduated from Lima Senior High School class of 79' and shortly after enlisted into the United States Army where he served 17 years leaving as a Sergeant First Class. Ross left the military to become CEO of Johnson & Hudges Co. in Lima, Ohio. Shortly after, he dedicated 11 years to Benjamin's Steel as a truck driver all while building his catering and restaurant business in his food truck, "Cecil's Grill by Ross".  He finally became the owner of Cecil's Grill by Ross restaurant since 2018.

He leaves to cherish his legacy a son; Thomas R. Johnson, ll of Lima and 2 daughters; Tanel C. Johnson of Lima and Tiffany N. Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina. 2 grandchildren: Jadae M. Robinson and Dominqic K. Johnson both of Lima. 4 brothers: James Johnson (Juliet) of Lima.  Clifton H. Johnson (Rosa) of Chesterfield, Virginia, Clyde Johnson of Columbus, Ohio and Tyrone Johnson (Rochelle) of Lima. 3 sisters: Brenda Cross (Danny), Viola DeBerry (David) and Gloria Johnson all of Lima.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.

Ross's Home Going Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Levi Collins officiating.
