Theodore Roderick Boyd "Bumpy" , 72 years of age, went to be home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at his residence. Theodore was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 16, 1950 to Peter Alfred Boyd Sr. and Ida (Johnson) Boyd. Both parents preceded him in death. He was also raised by the late Sam and Mary Snoddy. On May 6, 1972 he was united in Marriage to Carolyn E. Brooks she survives in Lima.

Bumpy was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was very active on the Shiloh greeters' ministry. He served on the Senior Usher Board and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. He was a member of The Symbols of Joy. Bumpy's favorite pastime was playing video games and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and an honorary member of Druid High School class of 1968 in Tuscaloosa, AL. He was a graduate of the Lima Senior High School class of 1968.

Bumpy was employed with Dana Corporation for 30 years. He also worked at McDonald's on N West St. and Captain D's.

Bumpy leaves to cherish his life and legacy, a loving wife, Carolyn E. Boyd of OH; 2 sons, Shad C. (Llyonesha Baker) Boyd of OH and Aaron T. (Jumyesha Pernell) Boyd of IL; 4 brothers, James I. (Susan Christman) Boyd of OH, Michael (Bonita) Boyd of TX, John Boyd of AL and Derrick Boyd of IL; sister, Angela Boyd of MO; 4 bonus brothers, Aubrey Snoddy of GA, Sam Snoddy, Jerry Snoddy and Donald (Vanessa) Snoddy all of AL; 4 bonus sisters, Sandra (Terry) Abrams of AL, Peggy Sledge of GA, Amanda Jackson and Samyra Snoddy both of AL;  2 brother in-laws, Kenneth D. Brooks and Ontra L Brooks both of OH; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a godmother, Ruthie Mays and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Peter A. Boyd Jr and a sister, Marie Smith
