Taji Ray Foster, age 27, departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 4:02 p.m. at Lima Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Taji was born on November 30, 1998, in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of Kascal Dewayne Coleman and Felishia Nicole (Shine-Neal) Coleman. He was a proud 2021 graduate of Lima Senior High School and was employed by Lima Pallet Company.
Taji was a devoted father, loving son, brother, grandson, and friend. He found joy in playing football, throwing cornhole, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was known for his generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and for truly being his brother's keeper. His laughter, kindness, and hard work will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his two handsome sons, Sir-Rumi Traylor and Alpha Ray Foster, both of Lima, Ohio; and his beautiful daughter, Symphony Pinn of Lima, Ohio.
He also leaves to mourn his passing his loving parents, Kascal and Felishia Coleman of Lima, Ohio; twelve brothers: Edward Shine of Mishawaka, Indiana, Kascal Armor, Dedric Graham, Kazion Coleman, Keontez Coleman, Kascal Coleman, Jr. (Nevaeh), Kassell Coleman, Keyon Coleman, Stanford Coleman, Nathanial Green, and Darius Gordon, all of Lima, Ohio; and Jamere Austin of Columbus, Ohio; and eight sisters: Shauriante Coleman, Kassidy Coleman, and Kassidy Coleman, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; Rebekah Tobey (Zachary) of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and Kiayonna Coleman, Tessence Kelley, Keyonna Williams, and Alexis Voress all of Lima, Ohio.
He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Margie Foster of Lima, Ohio, Amos Neal of Detroit, Michigan and Crawford Foster of Sidney, Ohio; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Jones of Detroit, Michigan; as well as a special friends Anna Robinson both of Lima, Ohio, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Taji was preceded in death by his beloved siblings, Kaewaun Coleman and Kyrell Coleman, and his paternal grandfather, Ellis Bat Howard.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Taji's love, strength, and unforgettable spirit will live on through his children, family, and all whose lives he touched. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
