Mrs. Susan Jeanette Washington, age 72, passed from this life on Monday, December 20, 2021 at approximately 2:44 a.m. at Van Wert Health in Van Wert, Ohio.

She was born on March 10, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to James Lewis Ward and Saundra Davis.  Her father is deceased and her mother; Saundra Goosby survives in Lima.  She was raised by Lawrence and Gertrude Turner, both preceded her in death.

1986 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Johnnie Washington, he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Washington worked for many years in retail sales and General Dynamics.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 sons; Derrick Turner of Atlanta, GA and Paul Turner (Robin) of Conley, GA. 2 daughters; Taija Cobb of Lima and Mechelle Bryant (Michael) of Chicago, IL. 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 3 brothers; Jeffery Godsey (Fonda) of Lima.  Eric Upthegrove (Clydeya) of Virginia and Jason Upthegrove of Detroit. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Ricardo Ward, Michael Ward and Leonard Ward.

Home Going Services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. B. Lamont Monford, Sr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home, Inc.

Due to the pandemic, the family request a negative Covid  test will be required 2 days prior to services before entry.
