Obituary

Solomon Le’wayne Smith was born on September 17, 1997, in Dayton, Ohio, to Carolyn Alexander and Steven Smith. From the beginning, Solomon brought his own kind of energy into the world. To the people who loved him, he was Sal, Solly, Peezyhead and his time here will always be remembered through the love, laughter, music, and memories he left behind.

Solly was truly the life and light of the room. He could be quiet and laid-back at first, but once he opened up, everybody knew he was there. Solomon could turn a regular moment into a story family and friends continue to tell again and again. He had a way of making people laugh and making each relationship feel personal.

Family meant everything to Solomon. With his sister Anastasia, the jokes never stopped, especially when he called her “cheap.” Him and his “twin” Keisean could sit and talk for hours, just conversating about life and whatever else came up. Those are just some of the playful moments shared that were pure. Solly was funny, real, and full of love. He was the glue in the family, the one whose presence helped bring everybody together.

Solly was creative to his core. As an artist, he expressed himself through his sound, his words, his style, and the confidence that made him unforgettable. You knew it was him as soon as you heard, “It’s The Solly _____ man.” That was more than an introduction. It was his stamp, his tag, his memory.

Solomon had style. He loved fashion and was never scared to step out and make a statement. If the look was right, a $350 T-shirt made perfect sense to him. He did not just wear fashion - Solly was fashion. He PROUDLY represented the Florida Gators and the Denver Broncos.

Solomon worked as a machine operator and took pride in doing his job well. He handled his responsibilities, gave his best, and showed up as himself wherever he went. At work, with his friends, and especially with his family, Solly made an impact that cannot be replaced.

Above all, Solly loved his children, Sevyn and Torrey Smith. They were the light of his life, and the love he had for them will always be part of his legacy. His music, humor, style, and the many stories shared in his name will keep his spirit close.

Forever Loved, Forever Remembered

Solomon leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Sevyn and Torrey, the faithful mother of his children Sha’Tori Boggs; his parents, Carolyn Alexander and Steven Smith (Kawanna) his grandmother Ollie Mae Smith, his siblings, Anastasia, Keisean, Niyona, Myetta, Lil Stevie, Stephanie, Demond, Shanice, Kalesha, Duane, Tarae’, Chloé Laws, Cache Alexander, Monteil Alexander, Davonda and Jayshavonda; his aunts, Caroline (Roger), Sylvia, Cathy; uncles: Johnnie (Monica), Wanye (Ella Mae); special niece and nephews, Le’Asia, Amari, Adonis, Niyomi , Keimoni ; and a host of other cousins, relatives, friends, and loved ones who were blessed to know and related to him.

Solomon was proceeded in death by his grandmother Pauline Alexander.

On September 28, 2026, Solomon left this life much too soon. Even though we wish we had more time, the love he gave us is still here. It lives through his children, his family, his music, his jokes, his style, and every memory that starts with, “Remember when Solly...” His light will keep shining, and his name will keep being spoken with love.

“It’s The Solly _____ man.”
