Sarah Frances Southern, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:30 a.m. at Springview Manor Nursing Home.

She was born January 31, 1930 in Florence, Alabama to Jerry and Eliza Brown Southern, who preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Edward Charles Southern, Sr. who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sarah Southern was a graduate of Cambridge Nursing School.  She was a nurse at Lost Creek Nursing Home, until her retirement, after many years of service.  She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Nurses' Aide Committee, the Mission Society, the Kitchen Committee, the Mothers Board, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Northwest District Association of the Ohio Baptist General Association.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory one son: Edward Charles (Melissa) Southern, Jr. and one daughter: Cynthia Elaine Liles, both of Lima, Ohio.  One grandson who she raised as a son: Jonathan Owens.  8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  A host of nieces and nephews, friends and family.

She is preceded in death by 6 sisters: Julia B. Harris, Nancy P. Brown, Eliza Avery, Christine Hall, Mary Lovelace, and Ruth Burch; and 3 brothers:  Hunter Carroll, Delma Sothern, and Jerry Southern, Jr.  She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Turner Pearson.

Home Going Services will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Clevon Jones officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Shiloh M.B.C.
