Sandra Gordon, age 70, passed from this life on Monday, September 6, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

She was born on June 3, 1951 in Madison County, Kentucky to the union of Andrew Turner Sr. and Arnetta Turner.  Both parents preceded her in death.

After graduating from Madison Central High School, she worked as an intern for the FBI in Washington, D.C.  Afterwards she attended and graduated from Morehead State University, where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She later married and moved to Lima, Ohio where they both taught and retired from the Lima City School Systems.  She was a Charter Member of Sigma Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She was baptized at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, she later continued her membership at Friendship Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa and served as assistant youth director.  She also served as a dedicated Choir member.  While in Lima she became a member of Second Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, everyone loved to hear her sing  "I Come to  the Garden Alone".

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 daughters; Carmen Michelle and Renae Lynn.  4 grandchildren; Quincy, Quinton George, and Sara. 5 siblings; Rev. William Turner (Martha), Andrew Turner Jr. (Florine), Anna Duerson (Jay), Barnetta  "Bonnie" Cosby (Rev. Kevin Cosby), and Effie Fields (Duane). A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 9:00 am. to 10:00 a.m. with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Rituals at 10:00 a.m.  at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Entombment  -  Memorial Park Mausoleum   Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
