Mr. Sam McLaurin, Jr., age 53, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at approximately 11:34 p.m. in Lima.

He was born on July 30, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Sam and Charlene (Pettis) McLaurin, Sr. his father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima, Ohio.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; Jordan Schimpf of Lima.  Taron McLaurin of Mississippi.  A daughter; Santana Bean of Ft. Wayne, IN.  4 grandchildren.  3 brothers; Sam McLaurin of California, Gerald McLaurin of Michigan and Keith Malloy of Lima.  5 sisters; Montina McLaurin and Nicole Jenkins both of Detroit, MI.  LaTara McLaurin and Christina McLaurin (Antionne Griffin) both of Texas.  Diane Leeper (Fred) of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 12:00 noon at First Evangelical and Redeemed  Church with Rev. LaTara McLaurin, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services, also at Church.
