Mr. Ronnie Lee "Montana" Matthews, age 69, passed from this life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at approximately 5:37 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima.

He was born on July 1, 1955 in Flint, Michigan to Henry William and Sallie B. (Jackson) Matthews. Both parents preceded him in death.

Ronnie was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved to draw, cook and enjoyed dancing.  He loved taking care of his grandkids.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory 4 sons; Jorel Lamar Luckett of Beavercreek, OH, Royce Matthews of Ft. Wayne, IN, Taji Pernell and Ronnie Denson both of Lima.  A daughter; Tonya McGraw of Detroit, MI. 38 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  3 sisters; Neadine Griffith (Johnnie), Henrietta Matthews and Diane Bell all of Lima.  A special Aunt; Essia Cotton. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Robert L. Henderson.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David E. Kelly, officiating.

Visitation/wake will be held at 10:00 a.m. until of services also at the church.
