Mr. Ronald Gadson O'Neal, age 52, passed away after a sudden illness on Friday, October 20, 2017 at approximately 3:17 p.m. at Ohio State Hospital East  in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born on June 3, 1965 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Homer Leslie and Jacqueline Joyce (Singleton) O'Neal, Sr.; both parents survive in Lima.

Ronald worked in administration at the Franklin County Sanitation Department.   He was a active member of the First Church of God in Columbus, Ohio. Ron had a smile that would light up a room.  He loved to travel, meet new people and just had a warm, compassionate attitude.  Anyone who met Ron remembers him for the loving, caring person that he was and he will be greatly missed.

Besides his loving parents he leaves to cherish his precious memory.  Four brothers; Homer L. O'Neal, Jr. and Jerome J. O'Neal (Sherri) both of Lima.  Gregory L. O'Neal (Alana) of Phoenix, Arizona and Timothy D. O'Neal of Columbus, Ohio.  3 sisters; Monica E. O'Neal and Denise R. Richardson both of Lima.  Paula J. Gwinn (Warren) of Dayton, Ohio.  His life partner; Charles D. Hillman of Columbus, Ohio. Nephews and nieces;  Brian O'Neal Kitchen, Devron Richardson, Derek Richardson, Dennis Richardson, Lindsay Rangel, Jaden-Julian O'Neal, Sheridan-Lex O'Neal, Vaughn O'Neal, Javanna O'Neal, Christian Grapner, Monica Hyde, Patience Jackson, Meghan Gwinn and Julian Gwinn (Godson & nephew).

Services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, officiating.

Visitation/wake services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Second Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the  AIDS Society of Columbus or Lima, Ohio.

Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
