Mr. Rodney Paul White, age 69,  went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his residence in Lima.

Mr. White was born on January 31, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Elton D. and Dorothy Pauline Downton White; both parents preceded him in death.

On July 26, 1975 he was united in holy matrimony to Rita Ilene Banks, she preceded him in death on January 17, 2008.

Mr. White retired from Phillips-Sylvania in Ottawa.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a member of In Faith Ministries, the American Legion Post #95 and V.F.W. Post 1911.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, a son; Shandon White (Brynne Shellenbarger) of Lima.  A daughter; Tina Reed of Columbus, Ohio. 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  3 brothers;  Mark White (Beth) of Sidney, OH; Gary White (Joanne) of Newport News, VA and Todd White (Carmen) of Lima.  3 sisters;  Joyce Reynolds (Dicky), Sharon Chambers (Norman) and Denise White all of Lima.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Beverly White.

Home going services will be held on Thursday,  February 25, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at In Faith Ministries with Pastor Michael Lyons, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
