Mr. Robert Herman Simpson, Sr., age 62, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at approximately 12:38 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

He was born on June 4, 1962   in Lima, Ohio  to Robert Herman Tyson and Cora Mae Simpson. Both his parents preceded him in death.

On July 21, 2021 he was united in holy matrimony to Linda J. Mayberry, she survives in Lima.  Robert loved to fish and he loved sports.  He was known for his famous Ribs and his love for spaghetti salad.  He loved playing cards and spending time with his family.

Besides his loving wife Linda Simpson, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 6 sons; Cory Snyder (Vanessa) of Ottawa, OH.  Robert H. Simpson, Jr., Terry B. Simpson, Anthony C. Simpson,  Jeffrey J. Simpson, Cameron Gammon all of Lima.  3 daughters; Chasity Snyder, Dajia Martin and Dacora J. Simpson all of Lima.  13 grandchildren.  8 brothers; Leroy Simpson, Anthony Simpson, Jeffrey Simpson (Kelly), Greg Tyson (Charlotte), Michael Tyson, David Tyson, Marcus Tyson and Duran Tyson all of Lima.  A sister; Vanessa Tyson of Lima.   A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Duran Simpson and Terry Simpson.

Home Going Services will be held Friday, December 13, 2024  at 12:00 p.m. the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the funeral home.

Interment:  Woodlawn  Cemetery  in Lima.
