Mr. Robert O. Jones, age 75, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at approximately 5:28 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center.

He was born on July 5, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to Jerry W. and Mary Phillips Jones, II; both parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Jones retired from Ford Motor Company after  25 years of service.  He was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local Union #1219.  He loved videography, cooking, barbequing and riding his bike.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son; Michael Jones (Carmen) of Lima.  A   daughter;  Alicia Anderson (Gregory, Sr.) of Lima.   6 grandchildren; Thomas Jones, Gregory Anderson, II, James Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Ashley Jones and Christian Jones.  3 great-grandchildren.   2 brothers; Jerry W. Jones, III and John T. Jones of Dayton, OH.  1 sister-in-law; Barbara Jones of Chicago, IL.  2 brothers-in-law; Walter Patrick of Lima and Vernon Thomas of Evanston, IL.

He was preceded in death by a son:  Mark O. Jones and a daughter:  Connie Y. Jones.  3 brothers; Marvin Jones, Orlando Jones and Phil D. Jones.  2 sisters;  Evelyn Thomas and Rosie Patrick.

Home Going Services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. John F.  Newby, Jr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
