Robert Vaughn Griff, age 62, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at his home in Lima, Ohio.

Robert was born on May 17, 1964, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the union of Robert I. and Gwendola (Taylor) Griff.

Robert will be remembered most for his deep love for his family and the special place they held in his heart. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including listening to music and watching football. He was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan who enjoyed cheering on his favorite team.

Robert leaves to cherish his precious memory, his loving wife, Karen Griff, whom he married on January 9, 1988. He also leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Robert Simpson, of Toledo, Ohio and Robert Griff Jr., of Lima, Ohio; four daughters, Monique Griff of Alabama, and Karmen Nicks, Veronica Griff, and Katie Griff, all of Lima, Ohio; six siblings, Rafael Griff, Regina Miller, Rochelle Hall, Rhonda Hollis, Desiree Jones, and Araina Griff; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert I. Griff.

Robert’s memory will live on through the love he shared, the family he cherished, and the many lives touched by his presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
