Mr. Robert Lewis Allen, age 85, passed from this life on Monday, February 27, 2017 at approximately 10:56 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

He was born on February 16, 1932 in Camp Hill, Alabama to Joe Allen and Mary Bell Fielder; both parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Allen retired from General Motors Corporation; he was a member of U.A.W. Local Union 211.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; Ladell Allen of Lima and Derry Allen of Columbus, OH.  4 daughters; Wanda J. Allen of Atlanta, GA.  Robin L. Shurelds (Robert L.) and Shantel Allen both of Lima.  Tawanda Davis (Donald) of South Bend, IN.  29 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren. A brother; Joe A. Allen (Marie) of Miami, FL.  2 sisters; Lue Neal Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN and Betty Stillmon of Miami, FL.  A host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Glenda F. Allen and a grandchild; Shawane D. Allen.  A brother James Allen and 4 sisters; Mae F. Cobb, Willie Ruth Edwards, Louise Jennings and Carrie Taylor.
