Obituary for Ricky Allen Ward, Sr.

Ricky Allen Ward Sr., age 70, died Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.  He was born on December 24, 1953 to Elza Moore and Francis Mae (Durr) Ward, Sr.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Ricky loved shooting pool.  He also enjoyed all kinds of sports, including The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a son:  Ricky A. Ward, II and a daughter Rittney L. Ward, both of Lima, Ohio.  3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.  2 brothers:  Elza M. (Gwendolyn) Ward, Jr. of Inkster, MI and Tommy (Kim) Clayborne of Pittsburgh, PA.  1 sister:  Glenda F. "Cookie" Ward of Lima, OH.  A host of other family members and friends.

Ricky is preceded in death by 2 sisters:  Mae Ward and Brenda Walton.  3 brothers:  James Gunn, Ronnie Ward, and Robert Gunn.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Cleven Jones officiating.
