Raymond Abraham Wilson, Sr., age 66, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at approximately 8:40 p.m. at Lima Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on January 8, 1949 in Lawndale, North Carolina to the union of Clarence and Sarah Mae Branan Wilson.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Wilson was a member of New Greater Grace Baptist Church.  He was also a former mason

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a longtime companion; Cheryl Poindexter of Pittsburg, PA.  3 sons; Raymond L. Wilson, Jr. (Kimberly) of Charlotte, NC.  Eric Wilson (Simone) of Gastonia, NC and DeVontae Poindexter of Pittsburgh, PA.   2 daughters;  Lawanda Wilson and Tara (R.A.) Wilson both of Gastonia, NC.  2 brothers:  Samuel Wilson (Sylvia) of Plainfield, NJ.  Isaiah Wilson of Pittsburg, PA.  2 sisters; Jackie Wilson of Lima and Inez Rogers of Phillipsburg, NJ.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Boyd Cardoser Wilson.

Home going services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Greater Grace Baptist with Rev. King Beverly, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.

Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery
