Quantez DeVonte' Tennant, age 21, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Lima.

He was born on January 4, 1993 in Lima, Ohio to Derrick C. Tennant and Stephanie Nicole Ingram.  His father Derrick and stepmother, Yolanda Dixon survives in Ft. Wayne, IN.  His mother Stephanie and stepfather, Quincy L. Bevis survive in Lima.

He was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.  He graduated from Lima Senior High School in 2011.  He formerly attended Elida Schools where he played basketball and football.

Besides his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter:  Rylee Dior Tennant of Lima.  A stepson: Jalil Cobbs of Lima. 6 brothers:  Malik Scales of Akron, OH.  Malcolm Jones, Derrick C. Tennant, Jr., Mekhi Jones and Demetri Jones all of Indianapolis, IN.  Taurris Carlisle of Ft. Wayne, IN.  5 sisters:  Jasmine Glenn and Lyric Bevis both of Lima. Jayana Williams and Kaylii Williams both of Indianapolis, IN.   Nyajla Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN.  Maternal grandparents:  Kenyetta Russell of Lima.  Fredrick Russell (Diane) of Lima.  Paternal grandparent:  Rita Bragg of Defiance, OH.  His girlfriend:  Kelsey Manley of Lima.  A nephew; DeAiris Tennant.  A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather:  Cleophus Tennant.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. B. LaMont Monford, Sr., officiating.
