Mr. Paul Henry McLaurin, age 73, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at approximately 9:37 a.m. at Ohio State University Hospital East in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born on March 10, 1941 to the union of George Henry and Nellie Moore McLaurin, Sr.  Both parents preceded him in death.  His stepmother Helen McLaurin survives in Lima.

Mr. McLaurin was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He retired from Ford Motor Company and then went to work at the United States Post Office from where he also retired.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son;  Shunnan Thomas of Oakland, California.  A close nephew; Kenny Williams and 2 close nieces; Carolyn McLaurin and Teresa McLaurin.  8 brothers;  Mike Harvey, David Harvey, Demetrius Harvey, Eddie Pritchett, Aaron McLaurin (Veronica), George McLaurin, Norvinna McLaurin and Jeremiah McLaurin.  10 sisters;  Martha Edwards, Nellie Morgan, Linda Harvey, Tracey Harvey (Darryl Tolbert), Margie Pritchett, Gwen McLaurin, Darlene Pitts, Mary Glover (Willie), Marion McLaurin (Ace Stacy Wright) and Hannah McLaurin.  2 sisters-in-law; Ella Mae McLaurin and Edna McLaurin

He was preceded in death by 7 brothers:  Albert Perry, W.E. McLaurin, Sam McLaurin, Archie McLaurin, George McLaurin, Jr., James McLaurin and Fred McLaurin.  A sister;  Lou Ethel McLaurin.
