Patricia Ann "Bay" Shorter, age 51, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at approximately 12:57 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

Ms. Shorter was born on March 8, 1963 to the union of James and Minnie Mae Vann Shorter; both her parents preceded her in death.

She worked at Nelson Packaging  as a Line Leader.

She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the kitchen committee.  She enjoyed cooking, children and putting a smile on everyone's face.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory two daughters, Aneta S. Shorter-Denson (Jerry Lee) and Anita Shorter (Alphonso "Biggie" Townsend).
Four grandchildren.   Four sisters:  Diane Shorter, Georgeanne Shorter ("Boo"), Florine Cowan (Minister Hayes) and Annette Shorter all of Lima.  A companion; Jessie Moore, who helped raise her children with her.   Jessie Moore of Lima.  A Fiancé;  James Johnson of Lima.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters; Debra Ann Shorter and Geraldine Shorter.

Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Home Going Services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Manley, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
