Mother Readie Tibbs, age 97, passed from this life on Friday May 11, 2018 at approximately 2:43pm at the Lima Manor Nursing Home.

Mother Tibbs was born on March 19, 1921 in Homewood, Mississippi to John and Almedia Smith Wash.  Both parents preceded her in death.

On September 13,  1943 she was united in marriage to Louis C. Tibbs who passed away September 24, 1991.

Mother Tibbs was a loving homemaker.  A former member of Mt. Olivet Church of God in Christ and now a member of New Life Church Ministries after her Son  became the Pastor and now her Grandson is the Pastor.  She  was also on the mothers Board,  A licensed missionary and known as an anointed Prayer Warrior.  She was a "Jewell" in the body of Christ who touched the lives of so many.

She leaves to cherish her memory 3 Sons:  Leron Tibbs (Bessie) of Akron, Ohio.  Elder Edward L. Tibbs (Shirley) and  Jimmie L. Tibbs  both of Lima, Ohio.  2 Daughters:  Bobbie Jones (Ozzie) of Mansfield, Ohio and Mary A. Holly (Elder John) of Lima Ohio.  2 Sisters:  Clotie Rankin of Jackson, Mississippi and Betty J. Hill of Pittsburgh, California.  1 Brother:  Paul Wash of Pittsburgh, California.  18 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 13 Great- Great  Grandchildren.

Mother Tibbs was preceded in death by a Daughter:  Katie Jordan and 2 Brothers:  R. N. Wash and John C. Wash.

Services will be held on Wednesday,  May 16, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at  New Life Christian Ministries,  Elder Damian Tibbs officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of funeral at the Church.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
