Mrs. Mildred Regina Towsey,  age 72, passed from this life on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at approximately 1:48  p.m. at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home  in Lima.

She was born in Lima, Ohio on February 23, 1948   to William Dunn and Ocea (Kelley) Grey; both parents preceded her in death.

On September 28, 1968 she was united in holy matrimony to William Ray Towsey; he survives in Lima.

Mrs. Towsey was Graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in English.  She worked as an English Teacher at North Middle School.   She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, worked with the Guild Girls Association.  She served on the League of Woman Voters, Association for Disabled children and was on the Lima City School Board.

Besides her loving husband Bill she leaves to cherish her precious memory a son: Ronald D. Towsey (Kimberly) of Lima.  A daughter; Kimberly R. Towsey of Lima.  2 grandchildren; Austin and Keaton.  2 great grandchildren; Maliyah and Karter.  2 brothers; James Grey of Columbus, GA and Morton Lee Grey (Karen) of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a host of aunts and uncles.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Home going services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Dr. H. Frank Taylor, III, officiating also at the Funeral Home.

Interment:  Memorial Park Cemetery
