Mrs. Mildred L. Jones, age 98, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2015 at approximately 5:10 a.m. at the Orchards of Lima.

She was born in Lima, Ohio on January 23, 1917 to the union of James and Gertrude Thomas Campbell; both parents preceded her in death.

On September 30, 1935 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Luther Jones who preceded her in death on September 10, 2002.

Mrs. Jones worked as a Domestic in private homes for many years.   She was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served on the Stewardess Board #1 and many other organizations within the church.  She was a member of the NAACP and the Bradfield Community Center.  She loved gardening, sewing and cooking.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son:  Clarence L. Jones (Linda) of Cridersville, Ohio.  A daughter; Cecelia Reid (Anthony) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  13 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 34 great-great grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews other relatives  and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son; Willie C. Manns.  A sister; Cretora White and a brother:  Thomas Campbell.
