Mrs. Michelle Kimay Godsey, age 31, passed from this life on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at approximately 1:35 p.m. at in Dumbar, West Virginia.

Michelle was born on January 17, 1991 in Charleston, West Virginia to the union of Joseph Nathaniel and Arthurette T. Johnson.  Her father preceded her in death.  Her mother survives in Lima, Ohio.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Martrevus A. Godsey,Sr.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 children: Martrevus A. Godsey, Jr. and MiJoy A. Godsey, both of Lima, OH.  7  sisters: Tamika N. Foye of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;  Jo'Niesha T. Johnson (Lee Mitchell) of West Virginia; twin sisters Lexus K. Motley of Detroit, Michigan and Alexus M. Mortley of Lima, Ohio; Shyprice U. Johnson; and Shaquayla B. Johnson, Mekayla J. Johnson, all of Lima, Ohio. 2 Brothers: Lawrence Foye and Michelle's twin, Michael M. Johnson, Sr., both of West Virginia.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents James Sims and Arthurette T. Foye and paternal grandparents Fannie Lee Yates Johnson and Joseph Johnson.

Home Going Services will be held on Friday, July 1st, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Manley, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022  at 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
