Mr. Michael James Newby, age 51, passed from this life on Monday, March 1, 2021 at approximately 9:45  p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on April 24, 1969 in Lima, Ohio to the union of James E. and Corene  Corsynthia (Gurley) Newby, his mother survives in Lima and his father preceded him in death.

He worked at Trinity Industries.  He loved sports and played football at Lima Senior High School,  Class of 1987.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, a daughter; KaSasha Roberson of Lima.  6 sons; Jeremy Newby of Lima. Jarren Newby of Nashville, TN.  Ryan Moore, DeWayne Cowan, James Newby and Jayden Newby all of Lima.   A sister; Joshlyn Horrison of Huntsvile, AL.   His fiancé; Evelyn Y. Marks of Lima.  4 children of the heart; William Brown and James Marks both of Lima.  Jamica Marks and Jaylen Reynolds both of Columbus, OH. A host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents; Curtis & Nathzolla Gurley and Paternal grandparents; James and Suzie Newby.

Home going services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dennis Ward, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
