Obituary of Michael Glenn Goins

Michael R. Goins, age 74, passed on Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH.  He was born on January 3, 1950 in Selma, AL to Robert and Mary (Carey) Fails.  Both parents preceded him in death.

Michael was a laborer for the Ford Motor Company.  He was a member of Grace Church World Ministries in Lima, OH.  Michael enjoyed cooking and excelled in athletics in all sports.

He leaves to cherish his memory 2 sons: Shawn (Jodie) Foster and Shane Foster, both of Lima, OH.   24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  3 brothers:  Robert D. (Gwennetta) Goins; Melvin J. (Jessie) Goins; and Ronald (Carol) Fails, all of Lima, OH.  4 sisters:  Joyce D. Goins; Carolyn A. Austin and Sandra F. Fails, all of Lima, OH; and Rosalyn (Kevin) Waddell of Columbus, OH.  A host of other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by 1 son:  Rickie Mills and 1 brother: Jeffrey W. Fails.

Home Going Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Church World Ministries with Rev. Ronald Fails officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. also at the church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
