Mrs. Maxine Helen Young, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at approximately 1:20 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 30, 1939 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the union of Ollie Hemphill and Hattie Moore; both parents preceded her in death.

On November 19, 1965 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Frederick D. Young, Sr. who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Young retired as a Nurse from St. Rita's Medical Center.  She was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Nurse's Aide, Pastor's Aide, Willing Workers, Busy Bee and was a member of the Choir.  She was also an Eastern Star and a member of the Red Hat Society.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 3 sons; Roosevelt Savage (Carrie) and Frederick D. Young, Jr. both of Lima.  Robert Chatman of Las Cruces, NM.  3 daughters; Maxine Marshall of  Lima.  G. Pamela Singleton (Tyrone) of Crestwood, KY and  Marilyn D. Martin of Radcliff, KY.  21 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.  2 brothers; Jimmy Russell (Barbara) and Fredrick Russell (Diane) both of Lima. 4 stepchildren; Fred Price (Ella), Faye Adams (William) and Darnell Price all of Columbus, OH. Francine Neil of Richmond, VA. Her stepmother; Hazel Singleton (Chappell) of Cleveland, OH.  A host of loving relatives and friends.

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by a daughter; Rhonda Young and 2 grandchildren.  A brother; Clifton Russell.  3 sisters; Lucy English, Catherine Sanders and Beverly Katy Depp.

Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.  from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
