Martha Mae Harris, age 74 passed from this life on April 15, 2026, at 5:30 a.m. at Aftercare of Canal Winchester in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
Martha was born in Lima, Ohio, to the late Lee Poland Martin and Fannie Mae (Stewart) Harris, who both preceded her in death. She was a devoted mother, sister, and friend who touched many lives with her kindness and warm spirit.
Martha was employed at Sam’s Club as a product demonstrator. She was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a greeter, welcoming all with a smile. She found joy in reading, cooking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She proudly earned her master’s degree in business administration from the Brown Mackie of Findlay, a testament to her dedication and perseverance.
Martha leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: one son, Kasper L. Harris of Columbus, Ohio; and two daughters, Erica J. McGee of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Jackie K. Shleby of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, Ricky Harris and Clarence Marin both of Lima, Ohio, Phillip Harris of California, and Steven (Cindy) Harris of South Carolina; and twelve sisters: Betty Harris, Kathy (Danny) Simpson, Gloria (Fernando) Meeks, Ilene Mills, Carol Butler, Cherry Gaston, Diane (Robert) Perry, all of Lima, Ohio; Linda Dukes of Columbus, Ohio; Lenora Crisp of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Verleen (Buddy) Mills and Lena Harris, both of Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her siblings: Willie Harris, Wesley Harris, Melvin Harris, Marcus Harris, Earl Harris, Julia Harris, Carol Pleasant, Eva Peppers, Lee "Sunny Boy" Martin, David Harris, and Laureen Wash.
Martha will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Jones Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held two hour prior to the service.
