Marilyn Faye Davis "MarFaye" , age 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her residence in Lima, Ohio. She was born on April 16, 1941 in Lima, OH to Willie Cleveland Shurelds Sr. and Dora (Amerson) Shurelds.  Both parents preceded her in death.

She married James Edward Davis on September 1, 1959. He preceded her in death.

Marilyn was a Founding member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she spent many faithful years of service working with the Kitchen Committee. Marilyn loved the Lord and spent her early and late years attending Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church which her Father helped build.

Marilyn enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crafts. She was a genuine Homemaker and loved telling stories. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her most.

She is survived by 7 loving children: 2 sons, Kevin Davis of Dallas, TX and Timothy Davis of Huber Heights, OH; 3 daughters, Stephanie Kelley, Kimberly Davis and Harriet (Jason) Carter all of Lima, OH; 2 step daughters, Terry Richardson of Cleveland, OH and Mary Lyons of Detroit, MI; a brother, Robert (Lynn) Shurelds; 13 Grandchildren, Justin, Evyn, Al, James, Tristan, Jantzen, Ta'Lor, Ashley, Devin, Dorian, Emily, Indya and Eden; 16 Great Grandchildren; Step Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She will be reunited with her parents; a devoted husband of 61 years; 3 brothers; L.V. Shurelds, Willie C. Shurelds II and Waydell Shurelds; 3 sisters, Ruby Smith, Katie Simpson and Lucille Jefferson and a son in-law, Al V. Kelley all preceded her in death.

Services will be Officiated by Rev. Cleven Jones.
