Mrs. Margaret A. Thompson, age 72, passed from this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at approximately 4:46 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center.

She was born on January 18, 1950 in Florence, Alabama to Alfret and Martha (Conner) Anderson; both preceded her in death.

On September 7, 1968 she was united in holy matrimony to Willie Van Thompson, Jr.; he survives in Lima.

Mrs. Thompson worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Lima Convalescence.  She was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served on the Missionary Society and served on the kitchen committee.  She loved planting and reading.

Besides her loving husband Willie she leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; Dwayne V. Thompson (Maria) of Chandler, AZ.  A daughter; Clarissa L. Alford (Willie) of Lima.  6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  4 brothers; Arthur L. Conner (Eva) of Tenn. Ronald Anderson (Pam) of Ark.  Earl Anderson of Ala and Shawn Anderson (Wanda) of Ark.  A sister; Jean Everett of Ga.  A nephew; Tyrone Anderson (Staci) of Al.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Wayne Anderson and a sister; Viola Anderson.

Home Going Services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at St Paul A.M.E. Church with Rev. John McCants, officiating and Rev. Darren Grimes, eulogizing.

Visitation/Wake will be held on, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.
