Marcus Jermont Amerson, age 46, passed from this life on Monday, January 31, 2022 at approximately 4:25 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

He was born on January 29, 1976 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Major and Kathleen (Watkins) Amerson, Jr.  His father is deceased and his mother survives in Lima.

Marcus worked as an inspector for Dana.  He was a member of the U.A.W. Local Union #1765.

Besides his loving mother Kathleen he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; Marcus J. Amerson and MarKese Amerson both of Lima.  A stepson; Darnell Riley of Lima.  2 daughters; Manijah J. Amerson and Raven Smith both of Lima. 3 grandchildren.  2 brothers; Major J. Amerson (Alyson) of Lima and Martese J. Amerson (Anna) of Chicago, IL.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents. Rev. Major and Rosa Bell Amerson, Sr. Maternal grandparents; Denver and Gertrude Watkins.

Services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Lima Civic and Convention Center with Rev. Dr. B. LaMont Monford, Sr., officiating and Rev. Dr. A. L. Butler, eulogizing.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Civic Center.

Interment  -  Memorial Park Cemetery
