Obituary of Maple Vanessa (Woods) Watkins

Mrs. Maple Vanessa (Woods) Watkins, age 86, passed from this life on Saturday, September 16, 2023 ap approximately 8:00 a.m.

Maple was born on March 22, 1937 to Talmara Cole who preceded her in death.  She was raised by her grandmother, Mrs. Henrietta Luster in Rogersville, Alabama.

Maple accepted Christ at an early age.  She was united in holy matrimony to the late Denver Reedus Watkins.  She attended and graduated from East End High School with honors.  Maple was a very smart lady, a kind and loving person.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory one son:  Thomas Reedus Watkins of Lima, Ohio.  4 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.  One uncle, Alonza Luster of Cleveland, Ohio; her Guardian, Kathleen Amerson; her special cousins: Nellie, Kimberly, and Karen Capers: Mary Rick and Francine Morgan, all of Lima, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Thomasina Watkins; 3 aunts, and 4 uncles.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
