Mable V. Walton, age 87, born the eldest of three children to Thomas and Savannah R.  Stewart on December 4, 1937 in Orville, Alabama.  On Sunday, September 7, 2025 at  approximately 2:03  a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima, Ohio she answered the Masters call and transitioned from labor to reward.

Raised in Selma, Mable matured among an extended network of aunts, uncles and first cousins until she started her own family  with Sammy Lee Walton Senior.

Mable enjoyed working at the family café  as well as cooking, reading the newspaper, visiting with friends, going to church and worshipping the Lord.

In 1969 Sam, Sr. and Mable and six of their seven children relocated to Lima, Ohio for better job opportunities.  Mable worked in the home providing love, support and guidance to her seven children and four grandchildren whom she raised.    Mable instilled in her children the value of hard work and sticktoitiveness and a love of family.  Mable enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends in Selma, Elmira and St. Louis.

Mable leaves to cherish her precious memory four sons; Sammy L. (Mary) Walton, Jr.  of Reynoldsburg, OH,  Nathaniel (Vickey) Walton of Lima., OH,  Alvin L. (Rosie) Walton of Findlay, OH, and Aaron D. (Lakisha) Walton of Grove City, OH.  Three daughters; Sharon B. Stith of Cahokia, IL, Barbara D. (Donald) Robinson of St. Louis, MO, and Deborah D.(Marvin) Foster of Reynoldsburg, OH. A special cousin: Pinkie O. Huff.  Fourteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.    A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Lee Walton, Sr.a brother; Thomas Stewart, Jr. 2 sisters; Jesse J. Jones and Elizabeth Stewart.

Home Going Services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025  at 10:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. H. Frank Taylor, III, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.
