Mrs. Luvenia Hill, age 97, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at approximately 4:06 a.m. at her residence in Lima surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Hill was born on October 18, 1918 in Montgomery, Alabama to the union of Andrew and Hattie Erving Long; both parents preceded her in death.

On July 2, 1950 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Nelson Hill who preceded her in death on October 19, 1997.

Mrs. Hill was a Homemaker and she known for her gardening and making beautiful quilts.  She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 5 grandchildren; Monica D. Lawrence of Lima whom she raised. James Moss, Shelia Fulford, Sonya Meadows and Albert Meadows, Jr. and  9 great grandchildren including,  Bridgette Harris and Andrea Lawrence whom she raised and 7 great-great grandchildren. A brother; Larry Long (Louise) of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Nancy Hill.   4 sisters; Mary Long, Sarah Jones, Lillie Thomas and Isabelle Cook.  4 brothers; Roosevelt Long, Andrew Long, Johnnie Long and Ruben Long.

Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Cleven Jones, officiating.

Visitation/wake services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the church.
