Mrs. Louise Long, age 86, passed from this life on Friday, August 20, 2021 at approximately 12:05 a.m.  at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima.

She was born on August 29, 1934 in Martinsville, Virginia to the union of George R. and Sadie E. (Deshazo) Spencer; both parents preceded her in death.

On February 4, 1979 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Larry H. Long; he survives in Lima.

Mrs. Long was a Deliverer for Helping Hands Meals.  She was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the kitchen committee and willing workers.

Besides her loving husband Larry, she leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 step-sons; Greg W. Long (Karen) and Larry Darnell Long both of Lima.  4 step-daughters; Hattie M. Long, Tina Hutchins and Ruth Ann Hutchins all of Lima.  Paulette Hayes of Columbus, OH.  12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  A sister; Inell Patterson. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Robert Spencer and John Spencer.  4 sisters; Virginia Reed, Laruice Steed, Ernestine Spencer and Odatta Redd.

Home Going Services will be held, Friday, August 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.  at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. B. LaMont Monford, Sr., officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  also at the funeral home.
