Mrs. Louise Ellis, age  89,   passed from this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 12:07 p.m.  at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima.

Mrs. Ellis was born on October 11, 1935 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Abner and Ada Lee Ware.  Both her parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Joe Willie Ellis who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ellis was a Homemaker.  She was a loving mother and loved Bingo, Blues and Cooking.   She always had so much fun with all her children, grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She loved to play with Micah. She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; Lindsey Gamble, III of Lima, Ohio, four grandchildren; Tessa Gamble, Rooney Cartwright, Junior Gamble and Desean Ward. Two great-grandchildren; Lindsey Monae and Jestice Gamble and three great-great grandsons.  A very special cousin; Annie Hotton. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Susan L. Gamble.  A daughter; Katherine Ware.  A grandson; John Barnett.  2 brothers; Randolph Murray and Sonny Abner Ware.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Austin Lewis, Jr., officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 10:00 am. until time of services also at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.
